This Bantam is in original used condition, complete and of its time.  Since being purchased from a museum by its current owner, it has not been ridden, has had an engine rebuild with new conrod and piston, and has lived in a dessicator tent inside his workshop.

The bike is as used at the time and not a 'better than showroom' restoration.  There is pitting of the chrome on wheel rims, exhaust and headlamp rim, also very minor marks on the chrome fuel tank panels.  The tank itself has been re-painted at some time, the paint is not a perfect match with the mudguards, so a perfectionist would probably respray some or all of the bodywork.  The side panel decals have worn away over the years but are still available so can be replaced.  The front number plate holder is not shown in the photographs as one of the mounting bolts has sheared but is included in the sale, and is an easy fix.

However, this is a bike that should be ridden, not locked away to hide in a collection of appreciating assets, it is a genuine, hard working, 56 year old British two-stroke that starts and runs well, is MOT and tax exempt, and will reward its new owner/rider with many more years pf motorcycling pleasure.

The registration number has been independently valued at £700, and is included in the sale.
