Once this size was the first choice of manufacturers to grace their flagship powerbikes.  with the same pitch and roller diameter of the 530 chains, the 532 has a larger diameter roller to spread the load more effectively.  Advances in chain materials and manufacturing processes have meant that newer superbikes can run the smaller 525 and even 520 chains safely, but there are still plenty of modern classic bikes out there that need a 532 pitch chain.
