Motorcycles have long been a popular target for thieves.  Sadly, that trend shows no sign of abating, leaving all of us at risk when away from our bike.  Modern security systems, alarms, security marking and physical barriers are our only defence.  By making it hard for the criminals, theft can become less of a risk when the perceived difficulty or likelihood of detection outweigh the potential gains through sale of your bike, usually in bits.  Lock, alarm and security mark your bike to help keep what is yours, yours.

Thieves are targeting bikes. A recent survey conducted by MAG showed that for every 1000 bikes on the road, in 2021, 20 of them were stolen.  This compares with a figure of only 1.9 per thousand cars.  Put bluntly, that means that as a biker, you are some eleven times more likely to be a victim of crime than a car driver.  Sadly, it is all too easy for them to get away with and the police seem unable to do anything.  The only course of action in most cases is to make your bike more difficult for scumbags to profit from than the next one in line, so that they will move on and steal that.

Making it difficult to profit for thieves can be addressed from two directions; firstly, by putting in physical security measures to make your bike time consuming and difficult to steal in the first place, and secondly by using a security marking system to make it harder for them do dispose of your bike's parts if they do manage to take it.
